ALCA supports the proposed introduction of conservation agreements to the Native Vegetation Act 1991 as a valuable new tool for protecting native vegetation on private land. ALCA recommends further strengthening of the Act, including clearer incentive frameworks for landholders, stronger protections for ecologically significant vegetation, and better alignment with South Australia's biodiversity commitments.
