More than 12 months on from the release of Australia's Strategy for Nature 2024-2030, the plan for implementing the Strategy still does not contain clear actions to deliver Australia's ambitions for nature.
The need and the opportunity for Australia to deliver a strong, globally leading Strategy for Nature that articulates Australia’s contribution to a set of global targets through the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (‘GBF’) is imperative.
We are disappointed to see that the plan for implementing the Strategy reads like a 'plan for a plan', and without clear actions to deliver the Strategy.
